Ever since Google's announced the beta test of a free online web-based email service that would offer huge storage limits, a lot more email service providers are making the news trying to race Google out. For example, Spymac has been offering the service for a while now, and some hebrew portal was about to launch something similar. Yahoo! is about to offer slightly increased mailbox size. Lycos Europe has already increased their limit to 1gb.

Maybe in an attempt to counter-attack the competition, Google decided to increased their previously announced 1gb limit to 1tb!! That's right, **ONE TERABYTE** of data (mostly email)! :-D

HISTORY

Coco Chanel commissioned Ernest Beaux to make six perfumes. They were labeled No. 1, No. 2, through to No. 6. Chanel No.5 that was and still known as the best Chanel perfume out there.

At the time of Chanel No 5�s launch, the most expensive perfume oil was jasmine due to the expense distilling process. On May 5th 1921 Chanel introduced the perfume to some of her closest friends. The fitting rooms in her boutique were also scented with No. 5 to create an ambiance that no one else could create. This idea was thought through by the Chanel Perfumer, otherwise known as an artist/creator of Chanel, who for years concentrated on what is known as the one of the most powerful senses �The Nose or Smell.�

It is said that sales increased in the 1950s, especially after the perfume was introduced in the United States. Marilyn Monroe (Born 1st June, 1926 and Died 5th August 1962) endorsement of the brand is said to have contributed to its popularity. When asked what she wore in bed, Monroe simply replied, 'Two drops of Chanel No. 5'. Coco Chanel herself is quoted as saying, 'A woman should wear fragrance wherever she expects to be kissed.'

Ever since I read about the Microsoft DevDays 2004 event I rushed to their site in order to find out if there was any Canadian cities listed! Unfortunately, I could not find any information related to a Canada DevDays event occurring after 2001.

At first I thought that this year's event was US-only, but then I stumbled upon David Cumps' reports from Belgium DevDays and then Roy Osherove writing about Israel DevDays!

Sure, the January issue of INETA mentions a Microsoft Canada Campus Tour organized by DotNetStudents.ca. There is also Steven Smith from ASPAlliance who gave a great speech at the Montreal Visual Studio User Group on February 10th 2004. But that's pretty much it for the coming months.

This is very sad because I would have been one of the first to register for this event! Hopefully next year we will see a Canada DevDays 2005?

Textile artist Susie Freeman and practising GP Dr Liz Lee, are an unlikely twosome for an artistic collaboration. More unusual is the work they create - clothes that seem fluffy and frivolous but actually draw attention to medical matters.

Susie Freeman and Liz Lee are old school friends and Susie explains how their collaboration developed: 'We chat like all women do. Liz was very interested in family planning, and wanted to raise awareness of contraceptive methods available.' Around the same time, a U.S. gallery which sold Susie's work, commissioned one of her textile garments decorated with pills. Susie hadn't made such a piece but the mistaken request sparked an idea - combine Susie's dramatic fabrics with Liz's medical objectives.

Their idea, which they called Inside Out, won them a Sci-Art Award in 1998 - a grants scheme sponsored by the Wellcome Trust encouraging collaborations between scientists and artists. This set them on the path of 'drawing attention to medical decisions that people make', enabling Susie and Liz 'to express the thought processes and emotions involved when patients make decisions about medical treatment.' ...

If the leather has become discolored there are leather products on the market that can help restore color. Try to match the product as close as possible to the natural color of your handbag.
